Faithful Daughter

Thank you for stopping by my page. I am a 53 year-old mother of one living in sunny Florida. Here at Hubpages I am known as Faithful Daughter, but my friends call me Evi.

I enjoy writing, art, drawing, oil painting, music, photography and spending time with my two dogs. My profile photo is that of my loving Poppy, a sweet Cocker Spaniel mix who shared 15 long and wonderful years with me, until I had to put him down in 2011. After his death Poppy inspired me to write a few of my hubs.

I live a very clean and peaceful life, and I am a faithful follower of Christ. I love to read and study my Bible, and can never get enough of the Word of God. Many of my readers, who have come to know me well, will tell you I am not afraid to speak in truth and will stand up for what I believe in.

My heart will always be for the weak and the helpless, and I despise those who abuse and oppress the poor and the defenseless. I also stand strong on God's Word. Among many negative things I dislike, I do not tolerate judgmental people, a prideful and haughty spirit, a lying tongue, and most of all a covetous thief. 

Why most of all a covetous thief? Because a coveteous thief sees something they want and takes it without any remorse or conviction. These kind of people are not only breaking two of God's commandment but they are proving they do not have Christ in them. Here's what God's Word says:  

 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? ... Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." (I Cor. 6:9,10)

This also goes for people who like to copy or steal other people's writings and pass them as their own. I take stealing very seriously. Therefore, I will warn you if I find that you have copied any of my articles without my permission or stolen my work passing it as your own, I will not hesitate to expose you and do what is right.

Having said that, I hope to come to know all my readers and make many friends here from all walks of life. So, kick back and relax. I hope you enjoy reading my hubs. I do have a variety of articles, but I mostly write about the Christian faith.

In reading my articles, you will find many of my hubs will not only challenge you to rethink what you have been taught in the past about the Word of God, but will challenge you to re-read your Bible and see for yourselves the truth within its pages just as the Bereans did.
